Hi, i need some advice please. My sister has booked to go away this month to spain with ryanair flight has been booked since before pandemic), however since spain went to an amber country they are wanting to change their flight to next year as they cant afford to self isolate when returning because they are self employed, also they feel its much safer flying next year. My mother in law spoke to Ryanair this morning who advised they could only change the flight to this year. My sister has children so they can only go away in the school holidays which means the next holiday would be October which they cant do. i have searched the ryanair website and no where does it state when changing dates it had to be with in that same year the original booking was made. is this right?? has any one else had issues or advise u can offer? this is my sisters first holiday in many years and she just wants it to be safe and special for her family!

I checked with government website before I booked a flight to Kerry for tomorrow re the length of time left on my passport. They say I do not need to have six months validity left. The passport just needs to be valid for the length of the journey, which is is. Ryanair website says 6 months validity is needed to fly to any EU country. Can they refuse me in the flight? The website allowed me to check in and print viurding passes.

It's now impossible to use the online claims form for a refund for cancelled flights. Sneakily, they keep rejecting the name of the person who booked, even though the name is a simple one.

To my email was no such an information, but I trusted the assistance. Is more than 6 months, money nowhere and now they say to me, was no rescheduled. I have proves from the chat print screen. How could I get correction of this, please? It was flight for whole family of 5 people and is a big financial damage for us.

Waiting in the check in queue today for RyanAir flight from Bordeaux to Stansted. Flying with a non-related minor so no alternative but to check in at desk. All forms and COVID required docs in place. Queue is moving slowly. There are around 15 people behind us. We are next at the desk when the check in person comes up to us and tells us that the flight is now closed! Needless to say that an enormous fuss was kicked up which resulted in a mad dash through security and passport. Fortunately we made the flight - returning for university finals and school - so necessary travel under current rules. No-one boarded behind us - shocking service, lack of comma and client awareness.

Has anyone recently travelled from Shannon airport to the UK, do you need a negative PCR to board the flight, I've had no luck on Ryanair web chat or with the department of foreign affairs. UK government say no PCRs are needed but I've heard rumours that Ryanair are asking for a PCR anyway. Any advice greatly appreciated

Guest : I found my flights from Stansted to Faro (return) using Skyscanner. I clicked on the link which took me to the Ryanair website, booked the flights, some luggage, seats and all was well, seemingly. 24 hours later I received an email from Ryanair saying as I had used an unauthorised Online Travel Agent I had to report to the Ryanair desk at Stansted to check documentation etc. I tried to check-in online yesterday and it would not work. A Ryanair agent in an online chat said I could not check-in online as I had booked through a 3rd party and that I would have to check-in at the airport (for free). This seems crazy as all my booking details are on the Ryanair website and Skyscanner have told me that I should be able to check-in online. Anyone else experienced this issue? I shall be taking it up with Ryanair.9z006

Hey folks. I have booked flights for Malaga next week through the much maligned Ryanair. We own a property over there but i have now read somewhere that Ryanair are refusing to allow people to board the aircraft without good reason. Apparently buying and selling property is not deemed as a good enough reason..!! Does anyone wish to comment. The flights were booked less than a week ago.

Hi, we booked flights with Ryanair last year for a 2020 holiday to Spain, due to COVID, we moved the flights to this year, at a cost of £90 each...3 of us travelling, so £270. We have decided not to travel abroad this year, and they want another £90 each for moving the flights again. To move the flights takes minutes on your computer...total rip-off. Has anyone got any suggestions how to get a refund, or stop this "cycle". Many Thanks

Hello. I am due to fly from Ireland to Scotland in a few days. Scottish government website states I do not need a pre-departure COVID test or to quarantine on arrival. I called Ryanair just to double check this information and ask if I would be denied boarding without one. The "customer service advisor" stated that I should follow the government guidelines but then said I should take a test just incase. I know Ryanair have a partnership with Randox for COVID testing and I do not want to give them 90 euros for a COVID test which I don't need. Has anybody flown with Ryanair recently? Can anybody clarify? Thanks in advance :)

Got a refund for cancelled flights between Marrakech and Dublin but less £40! Their online chatbot system suggests it is because of the varying exchange rate as the flight originated in Morocco. However the flight was initially quoted in local currency (Dirhams) but then changed by the Ryanair booking system to a quote in Sterling! I paid in sterling via visa card which showed it was not a foreign exchange transaction. The refund was in sterling to the same visa card. Questions... where has the £40 gone? Would Ryanair have refunded more in sterling had the rate gone the other way?

Just applied for my Ryanair refund. They didn't make the form easy. Here is how I (think) I managed it. When inputting my email, I left a space at the start, then once I had the email typed in, I backspaced it one. For the booking reference, I left only the first letter in capslock and everything else lower case. It says my request is being processed and will be returned within 7 days. This might work for some others also

After filing EU 261 claim and providing passport documentation + bank details I got an email from Ryan Air 23/3 saying payment had been authorized, and that I should allow up to 28 days for the payment to be completed. Customer service does not give you any information what so ever, since apparently they are not authorized to contact claims department. Very convenient. Sort of a joke at this point. Our fligth on 18th August 2020 was delayed by 7 hours due to a technical fault. I filled in the EU261 compensation form a few days later. After about 2 weeks I got an email from Ryanair saying they had received my claim. On the Ryanair website it says they will pay compensation within 10 days. Due to Covid 19 I obviously knew this was gonna take longer. I gave it 1 month before I contacted their customer service just to be told to wait a little longer. I gave it another 2 weeks before contacting them again. The customer agent told me I was sent an email the previous week about my claim. This was untrue. When I told him so, he fobbed me off saying he escalated the case and I should be contacted within 48h by the compensation department. Again a week later after no response I contacted them again and was told to wait at least 2 more weeks and that the case was escalated again. I still have not heard from Ryanair until today. It has been 3 months since my delayed flight now. Anyone had any similar experience since the start of the pandemic? Any suggestions how to take this further or just be patient.

Guest : I have been trying to get a refund for cancelled Malta flight early September. Have been offered a voucher but do not want this. When I try to fill in the form to get refund it says "Unfortunately the information entered does not match tgat given at time of booking". Information is simply email address and reservation number, both of which are correct. Any help on what is going on much appreciated. I'm in the same boat

Guest : Please note Ryanair tell you that you can change flights for free in July and August but this is a LIE....in the small print (terms and conditions) you have to re book a WEEK in advance . This is different from the public information which says you can rebook up to 2 hours in advance of the flight. We have lost 200 pounds. You are packed like sardines on their flights and they let on a man who was sweating profusely and ended up being sick all over the plane. AVOID THEM AT ALL COSTS Yes i agree with you . its week in advance.. not clear on the site it says any flights booked between those dates . complete robbery

I couldn't change my flight until I had confirmation from my hotel that it would be cancelled. I then went to change my flight and now they want a flight change fee . This works out at over £200 . After hours chatting to supposed customer service I'm informed I can only change free of charge 7days prior. I explained I didn't know so how could I change it . They are not budging in this . My flight is still classed as going so effectively I either pay or lose it . Any ideas what I can do ?? Covid secure my backside.. I am so annoyed and will never fly with them again if i dont get at least my baggage fee which was more than the flight . The 7 days change is in small print and i wasnt aware either I am so annoyed and will never fly with them again if i dont get at least my baggage fee which was more than the flight . I have tried to re book for my flight which is still apparently running. The website shows a flight fee of £34.99 yet when i try and change its now £81. it wont confirm either if im being charged a change fee until i confirm the booking . My flight is in 7days . So until i click confirm i dont know what i will be charged. probably more than the original flight. Surely this is wrong as we cannot go or face a fine of £200 . Has anyone had their flight cancelled as yet?

Been trying for a refund for 6 weeks for a flight cancelled by Ryanair. They sent e mail offering voucher which I refused and opted for cash refund. I have written several e mails which I have had no response se to at all. Even tried filling the on line refund form in which when I complete ad go to submit a message comes up saying not able to process yet again later. Now very frustrated as the booking was for myself and two other people who are wanting their money back!!

If Ryanair say they do not recognise the information you submitted its probably because you booked with a travel agent and that agent created a fictitious e-mail address for you....a so-called screen scraper. They do this to try and prevent you from having direct contact with airlines. Having said that, the travel agent is obliged to tell you what e-mail address they used for you. Try and find it among the correspondence with the agent and resubmit your request to Ryanair quoting that fictitious address

British Airways has cancelled all flights to Pisa, Italy, for December (and November) 2020. I am considering Ryanair for Christmas tickets. I saw that if I book for December and then I need to change (for example because I need to quarantine once in Italy) I need to pay change fee for booking a new flight for the future. Do you know what happens if it is Ryanair who cancels the flights? Do they offer a refund or only vouchers? Thanks.
