Normally the flight time from Malaga to Edinburgh is approx 3hrs and 30 mins. i have looked at the flights on the 15th October 21, the day i want to fly, and the time is 5hrs and 10 minutes! i have tried to find out from Jet2 why that is but , unsurprisingly, no response. Does anyone know what is going on with that flight?

I have been trying for 2 weeks to contact Jet2 re my flight and separate number also for special assistance. Hold for hours then they cut off! Before this they were answering the phone…what’s changed. I need to speak to them.

Guest : Following on from my previous post, 28th August, regarding a change to hotel and resort, I continued to try and call Jet2, several times, long wait with no response. However, I also continued to email the customer service dept (several times) and completed a complaints form. I am really pleased to say that a Jet2 customer service rep, Alexandra, phoned me this afternoon and was extremely helpful. All issues have been resolved. The customer service team are responding to emails. I would suggest emailing customer service every day. I hope this helps. Book with Jet 2 at your peril. Received an unclear text regarding changes to my flight to Menorca < 48 hrs prior to departure. Took 2 hours of waiting on the phone for any one in the contact centre to answer and a further 30 min delay for them to establish and clarify what was going on. The amendments to our flight posed a covid risk that we were not prepared to take and had strenuously sort to avoid when booking in the first place Following the advice of the CS representative who did finally pick up the phone, that average waiting times for the contact centre to pick up the phone are 2 hours plus if at all, we reluctantly felt press ganged in to making the decision to change our booking there and then due to the proximity of our departure.We now find ourselves £300 worse off and a huge phone bill to boot, heading for a week in Madeira in the rain, according to the current weather report and for 7 days rather than the 11 days we booked in Menorca, at a hotel and location that we didn't choose. Never again.Be warned.

Update from 31/08/21. Today we made the 140 mile round trip to Leeds Bradford airport and it took about 10 minutes to change our booking at the J2 desk. Previously rang the airport enquiry desk and they gave us the number for the J2 desk (0113 391 3239) We rang to ask if they would make the change and they said it would be no problem but we would have to be there in person - it worked! Still had to pay an admin fee despite our previous flight being cancelled but we argued that we should not have to pay the taxes twice and these were removed. I hope that others may try this route. The long drive was worth it as we were becoming very stressed by the situation.

Margaret Hendry : We’re due to fly to Palma last Saturday 28th August and we couldn’t fly then due to Covid restrictions and isolation rules ! We had flights booked last year at same time and changed them to this year at an extra cost as no flights were going to Palma ! We sent at least three emails stating this then tried for almost a week to get through on telephone for hours at a time to change flights to a later date next year or at least get a voucher to the value to use ! We had absolutely no luck in contacting Jet2 to do any of this ! We fly every year and sometime more than once a year with Jet2 but have to say this has put us of as there seems to be no customer service available. Please advise if there is anything you can do Booking Reference - 25LVV3 I've had exactly the same problems good luck

Caught covid 19 try as I might cannot contact jet2 for my guaranteed refund. Phone calls never answered or blocked no luck with emails can't do anything on manage my booking the whole experience is a nightmare

Mike : I had a flight cancelled on 6th August by jet 2 and still no refund despite their policy clearly saying within 14 days. Tried loads of times to make contact and hung up after waiting for 90 minutes a time, sent in 2 complaints and still nothing. Anyone else got a similar story or is it just me as I have read they have been prompt on settling when they cancelled the flight. Nope .. it's not just you .. my email from Jet2 arrived 5th August cancelling my flights to Turkey and, like you, saying that I would be refunded within 14 days. Not seen hide nor hair of the money yet. Have tried emailing (more than once) and calling several times .. but to no avail. You can never get to speak to a person. It really is appalling .. no way you could call this customer service. I would love to know what the 0800 number is please (if anyone out there reading this knows it) as that seems to be a better one to call.

Flight times changed without consultation and are massively inconvenient. Customer Services: No one responds to emails or phone calls, their What’s App responses are useless and have you noticed the Chat Lines are disabled. Truly awful. Alert: do not be taken in by buying their insurance. They use Rockinsurers who are scammers. I had a previous trip cancelled by Jet2 who did refund me but not Rock they simply keep your money.You can’t phone them and they will not answer emails. Imagine if you took ill while on holiday! Read the reviews on Rock insurance, I wish I had.

we are trying desperately to get through to change our flight too, and failing miserably! We should fly out on 14 September so hoping that we will hear something soon with regard to us requesting a credit voucher (done this 4 times and had no contact from Jet2 )

Realo : We’ve called everyday for a week. Messaged them and no answer. We can’t travel to original destination so need to move the holiday but no one can sit on the phone for hours at a time. Shambolic is an understatement. If they told you average wait time or where you are in the queue it might help.

brian : theyve redirected my direct agp to edi flight i think via stansted so the journey takes 5.5hrs instead of 3 .5. what a disgrace. due to ill health we can take that risk of being stuck on a plane for that time so are trying to get a change or cancellation . SAdly the 0800 is equally swamped (1 hr and counting) and the change system online is crashing. Brian, I too will be on this flight which is now being de-toured via Malaga. No reason, no apology. JET2 just do not care. My wife and I will never use JET 2 again due to this.

I got through eventually this morning. My Edinburgh to Alicante flight is going to take over 5.5 hours. The email came with less than 48 hours to go. The flight is going to Malaga first to offload passengers then on to Alicante. Not at all happy! They will not refund & if I cancel I will lose my money. I paid over £300 for 2 flights which are now selling for £120. I am not getting what I paid for i.e direct flights. There is no complaints procedure and they don't care! Using Covid as an excuse just doesn't wash any more. This is about money pure an simple. You are a disgrace JET2 and you have lost future custom from me!

Guest : I've paid some of my balance off this morning but it said there was an error and not amended my balance, but the money was taken? tried to call but no answer? not sure what to do? I'm not filled with confidence at the min with Jet 2 to answer my own question, I got threw to Jet 2 this morning at 9.00AM, basically the payment card was not linked to my booking (despite it being the same card I paid with before) so the payment was just sat in their account, to be fair I felt sorry for the lady on the phone, she was polite and helpful, not her fault they are understaffed, she linked the card and payment to my booking and hey presto my payment showed up, so for any of you this happens to, unfortunately, you will have to call to rectify it, she did say that eventually the payment would be returned, however this could obviously cause a lot of problems. Good Luck!

We ring every 2 days. We hang on the phone for 40 minutes. No one answers. I will try emailing later. See if that works. Ive booked a holiday but need to change the dates on it.

I’ve been on hold for so long this is ridiculous!! I need to discuss cancellation. If it goes past another day it says they will take 50% of the Hoilday cost but I can’t ever get through to anyone to discuss cancellation and it won’t let me do it online! So frustrating!!!

Anthony : Had a Text message about our booking, flights and hotel had changed but no info on what has changed? We had the option to cancel and receive a full refund but not sure what has changed and still would prefer to go on holiday. What do you do? We paid our balance on 18th August for our holiday due to depart Birmingham to Fuerteventura on 29th September but then got an email on 20th saying our flight was changed but we can get a refund if we wanted to. We have been trying to change the date for the previous or next week as we have problems with the original date. So far, we have spend nearly every day since trying to contact jet2 including submitting their online forms and many hours on hold. Now we are not able to ring them in the evenings either. We are now getting worried that when we do get through, they will say it is too late to change the dates. The whole thing is very worrying and frustrating.

Jet 2 are a bunch of schysters - website is broken so you cannot amend your flight. They do not reply to e-mails - various addresses, I have been kept hanging on for over 10 hours in total. register complaint with ABTA

John Stewart : Yes, my flight LS531 Newcastle to Palma 8th September revised flight time is four and a half hours. Normally takes two and a half/3 hours. Been trying to phone to check if this is correct because I need to arrange to be picked up at Palma airport. 59 minutes waiting time yesterday then I hung up. Been trying again now. been on hold 50 minutes.. Hi we have been told by haystravel that this is due to having to pick up in ibiza, and they are travelling to Newcastle, probs not aware they are going to palma first! We asked if could change our flight to next day but would cost 300 pound.. Very disappointed in jet 2.

Leeds Bradford to Malaga (20/09/21) Like so many have had our flight time changed, brought forward by 9 3/4 hours. Impossible time for us. We booked early and paid a premium to fly at 4.45pm not 7am. Now need to change date but website won’t let us and no answer on the phone. The final insult is that if we are able to change, we will be charged admin fee and taxes that we have already paid. We always had such a good opinion of Jet2 but even with the obvious problems thrown up by the pandemic, it really is not good enough.
