I’ve phoned them and they say my claim was logged 12 weeks tomorrow and I haven’t heard anything either , we were on the in bound flight home over 5 hours late .
Printed the bording pass and it is printed quite large. to large to use at airport scanner how do I print smaller? I use my photos copy at the airport witch is ok but I like a printed copy as well

LS944 - Larnaca to Manchester - 18th June 2022 - denied compensation - Upon arrival at Larnaca airport in the afternoon of 18th June we were advised the flight due to leave at 22:50 would be delayed until around 1:15am on 19th June. After waiting around and sleeping on the airport floor it was announced that the flight was cancelled due to the pilot exceeding his flying hours. Had the flight have left at the original scheduled time of 22:50 we would not have returned to Manchester by 1:15am meaning the pilot would have exceeded his flying hours even if we had departed on time. The flight was displayed as cancelled on the information board in the airport gate and we eventually departed at around 15:30pm on 19th June. Jet2 staff were not honest with us, they would have known that the pilot was unable to fly. We were only advised the flight was cancelled after sleeping on the floor of the airport gate until 2.05am. Myself and my partner Jack have both submitted compensation claims with jet2 holidays and have both received the same generic response stating that as the delay was caused by extraordinary circumstances compensation is not payable.

We were delayed by 27 hours in June coming back from Malaga . I claimed over 12 weeks ago and still haven’t received anything . Last Friday we were delayed again this time from Palma . 4 hours on this occasion. I’m thinking is there any point in even bothering claiming for this one .

Hi, I had a flight back to Manchester from Corfu 2 weeks ago and 20 passengers including myself were denied boarding as a smaller aircraft had been sent instead therefore we had to make our own arrangements to get home. Does anyone know if I am entitled to compensation or will they just refund the flight and pay for the alternative one we had to source with TUI? Thanks

Hi, our flight on 03/06/22, LS944 Larnaca to Manchester, was delayed till the next day. Jet2 are saying it’s extraordinary circumstances as a third party food and drink supplier delayed uploading food and drink on the outbound flight from Manchester, therefore not their fault. I was on this flight. Reply from Jet2 on 13th September - The cause of the delay your flight, in excess of three hours, was Air Traffic Control restrictions beyond our control. Under EC Regulation 261/2004 (the Regulation) (as amended by UK law), compensation is not payable if the delay was caused by extraordinary circumstances. The Regulation and the pertaining case law, in particular, Blanche vs Easyjet, is clear that Air Traffic Control delays constitute extraordinary circumstances for the purposes of the Regulation, and your claim is therefore ineligible for compensation - not sure how Airline operational issues come under Air Traffic Control???

Question re packing a cycle. Jet2 website says: box, cardboard or 'other suitable material' . I've used heavy duty plastic bags with other airlines: has anyone successfully done that with Jet 2 ?

Anyone had problem with Jet2 taking payment for booking online but system freezing before booking confirmed saying there’s error but not what error is. Problem seemed to happen when my bank made me verify the payment in their app. It only took seconds as I have Face ID but Jet2 system froze having taken payment from my cc. I rang next day to query no booking confirmation to be told I wasn’t booked and it would be an additional £48 for same holiday as live prices had changed. When I complained they said I could have refund if not happy but as we are travelling with others who got booked ( using PayPal which didn’t require verification through their bank) I had to book. I raised complaint but basically been told tough go to ABTA. Why didn’t their system time me out before accepting payment so I could have tried again? Anyone else had this happen

Placed a compensation claim 11 weeks ago. Today they emailed me rejecting it. We were told at the airport, it was due to operational issues on Jet2’s side. They blamed the airport- “Unfortunately, whilst we were well prepared, a large number of other airlines and third parties (including Airports, ground handlers and fuel suppliers, for example) were not well resourced. ” They blamed Russia…. For a flight I booked 24 hours before. “ This, in part, has been caused by a significant area of airspace being closed over Russia and Ukraine, causing flights to re-route across central Europe“ I am taking this to the CAA and try and get them to review it. If I check in online with Jet2 and state a hold bag, but then only take carry on will there be a problem.
