Tried to book flights yesterday cards declined, bank said no problem. Tried again this morning, same thing. Phoned to book instead, price quoted nearly £200 more than the website price! Told "prices go up" went back online and price was same as yesterday £200 cheaper than on phone, tried to book online this morning at the price quoted at £200 cheaper than phone and declined again!
has anyone received their compensation for LS876 flight, 13th July Manchester to Faro (the Algarve) it was delayed due to technical fault on the plane and had to get onto another plane

ReplyTried to book flights today, on three occasions card payment was declined, using two different banks phoned both bank, no problem their end! Jet2 deny any problems, but clearly other customers had issues this weekend!

Guest : Charlie : I submitted a claims form for our 4 hour delayed flight to Turkey back in June! This was 16 weeks ago and still haven’t heard anything! The waiting time was up to 12 weeks???! Why haven’t jet 2 got back to me yet !? We have been waiting 18 weeks, passed all details to CAA this week. CAA have confirmed valid claim just waiting on Jet2 now.

Would just like to give a shout-out to Karen the rep at Parque dos Americas. I have recently retuned from Tenerife after flying out to support my brother who was travelling alone and ended up in hospital. She was brilliant, ringing every day to offer any help we needed, ringing the hospital to keep in touch, whilst I arranged to fly. She also organised with hotel for my brother to stay extra nights following his discharge. Jet 2 gets some really bad press at times. On this occasion there in resort was brilliant.
Hi, I had the same problem. Deleting app and reinstalling gave me access to my boarding passes. Hope this helps.

Jim : Why do some Jet2 stands at different airports let deposit small hand luggage cases in the hold and others don’t?? It depends on number of booked passengers and check in luggage, vs hand luggage. Weight and balance has to be set right.

I can't download the Jet2 app. I'm not even finding it. I'm australian. is this just a UK thing because my operating system is different. Why isn't it just made international? Surely its not just Brits using this app ... So I have to find a printer it seems back to the old days! lol

We had a full day’s delay in flying to our destination in Madeira and, although we had an initial automatic response via email to acknowledge our complaint, we’ve heard nothing back. Funny how it’s so easy to book holidays with them when they are ready to take money off you but it is so hard when you try to claim something back. We are now having to compete yet another online form ands it’s been well over 12 weeks since we’ve been on holiday. 😡 May have to try the CAA next.

Also, took it up with the CAA, got a reply from the CAA to say they will get in touch with them on my behalf and then a few weeks later got an email from Jet 2 to say they have changed their minds and will be paying the compensation after all, but due to high demand could take another few weeks (not sure if their decision came from my second email or because the CAA took it back to them) this was from May 2022. Don't give up! I believe (could be wrong) that the CAA will only go back to to airline if they think you have a valid claim. L : Placed a compensation claim 11 weeks ago. Today they emailed me rejecting it. We were told at the airport, it was due to operational issues on Jet2’s side. They blamed the airport- “Unfortunately, whilst we were well prepared, a large number of other airlines and third parties (including Airports, ground handlers and fuel suppliers, for example) were not well resourced. ” They blamed Russia…. For a flight I booked 24 hours before. “ This, in part, has been caused by a significant area of airspace being closed over Russia and Ukraine, causing flights to re-route across central Europe“ I am taking this to the CAA and try and get them to review it. 17 weeks now and still no response to delay claim of 6 hours to Paphos on 30th May from Manchester LS937. Anyone else had a response from this flight? Or anyone else waiting for May claims?

16 weeks later no response to delay claim. Such bad service! Our flight was 30th May to Paphos delayed 3 hours in terminal then sat 3 hours on plane at gate.

I put in a complaint to Complaints dept of jet2 on 22nd August 2022 ...all I get is a weekly email stating my complaint is taking longer than usual....this is very frustrating as you cannot get to speak with anyone the complaints dept...I think Jet2 need to seriously look at customer contact requirement
