I spoke to Jet2 customer services this morning. Because my flight to Geneva on 15th Jan is still scheduled to go ahead I am not eligible for any refund, even a voucher as goodwill gesture, despite the fact we had accommodation booked in France (Les Arcs). I’ve decided not to cancel yet as they’d just be able to resell my tickets and I get nothing. Also they may still decide to cancel depending on staff and numbers. Ironically if I catch covid before we are due to travel I can claim on my insurance!!

I’m going to give up at the hour mark aswell, I also heard that, should hopefully good news as a lot of the ski resorts are struggling financially, and Frances covid situation is now worse

Gave up after an hour on hold this morning. Supposed to be flying on 22nd too for entry into France. I think France are due to debate tourism rules on the 12th so maybe we will be contacted after then.

Hi, is there anything specific you said to get the full refund, I have the same flights and can’t get to Val Thoren so would be amazing if I can get a refund. Will : Had flights from East Mid to Geneva on 8th Jan and return flights on 15th. Heading to Morzine so travel ban stops us. Called customer service on this number: +44 20 3059 8336 They offered me a refund straight away. Wanted to move flights instead but they wouldn’t keep the £1 ski carriage promotion forward.

Interesting - we booked to fly Newcastle to Geneva for a ski trip in France 15th Jan. I was advised on phone to customer services (after an hour on hold) that there are no grounds for a refund! Perhaps they are hedging their bets that France will change policy. We’ve just binned everything else while we could still get full refunds though. Did you have any previous history of trying to cancel with them, or was this the first attempt? We have flights on the 15th. Kt : we have just been offered a full refund from jet 2, flight 3pm today, 2nd jan 2022, (and return flight as part of same booking onn8th jan ) east midlands to geneva, our destination was ski holiday in france booked air bb, so not with jet2, done over phone line about 9am this morning, about 20min wait, now confirmed by email from jet2. Same situation here. Jet 2 policy has changed this morning and I have been offered full refund on geneva flights (was due to fly 27/12) I was booked for onward travel to Morzine, France and that is now apparently an exception to the usual 'no refunds' rule.

Guest : No point trying to contact Jet2. Based upon Pascal's wager (I have nothing to loose), I've given them 14 days to refund my money. No further discussion. If they don't give me my money back, then I will issue in the small claims court on the 4th January. If anyone is interested it's called www.moneyclaims.service.gov.uk.

Guest : cannot add locator form reference numbers to my booking so cannot download boarding pass Only a PCR 2 day test code given by a testing agency on the UK gov portal or Gov recognition will work in the Locator form. I know this because I too could not complete my form using the expresstest code. The refunded my straight away. thankful for that.

Yeah in the same position jet2 said no refund unless restrictions change which seems very unfair when the whole holiday has been cancelled. Guest : Anyone trying to get a refund on flights to Geneva? Can't ski in France due to new regs as of yesterday, but Jet2 seem to be declining a refund on the basis that the flight into Geneva will go ahead. Any thoughts out there? I haven't tried my travel insurance yet.

Helen Rust : I am wanting to cancel my holiday 26th December and transfer monies paid to a holiday in June , and a refund for the difference. Is this possible ? Yes. I did this. I transferred a holiday from 18 December to April next year. I was given a refund for the difference in cost. Small admin fee to pay.

Guest : JD : Thank you. As I've ordered a lateral flow to fly home I'm guessing it's OK to not have a ref no. You won't get on the plane until you complete the PL form. The UK government changed it from requiring a lateral flow to PCR last week. Go to the UK government portal and book a 2 day pcr test asap. Complete the form within 2 days of flying home they give you the QR code needed to get boarding pass from Jet2 dolly at airport It's like an old fashioned computer game point and click

JD : ordered a chronomics heal gen rapid covid antigen self test for return to uk. Passenger locator reference number blank in order confirmation from them. Anyone else experienced this? Should I be worried? You need to order a 2 day PCR test to get the code. No code = no completion of passenger locator form, no boarding pass.

Finally, after 7 days and hours of holding on in an attempt to speak to someone at Jet2, I was actually able to do so today, Monday 13/12. I have been able to move my holiday from next week to April next year. Small admin fee to pay. My advice is - keep trying.

Guest : I have just got through on the option 7 on the telephone lines. Refund sorted in 2 mins for a holiday that had a 14 yr travelling to Spain.My stituation wascthe dame as yours i was told no refunds being given as per my terma and condtions , how did you mange to get the refund 🤔🤔🤔🤔

Rosemary : Have tried for five days by phone holding on for over an hour. Sending an e-mail every day to two different e-mail addresses, plus a complaint to CEO's e-mail. No response at all. I am due to fly on 18 December and want to postpone until March/April, if Jet2 does not respond I will have to cancel and lose my money. Disgraceful customer service.I was advised to ring first at 8am as this is the least busy time 🤔

I finally got to speak to a lady this morning . Although very helpful i was told i would not get a refund for the holiday even though we cannot travel to spain as my 14 year old is not vaccinated. I was told i could change the date of the holiday, i could wait and see if there are further government accouncements or i could cancel the holiday and lose 100% of the holiday 😣 Due to the present terms & conditions of my booking i am not entitled to a refund. I have 12 days to decide which option i would prefer . None of the above are of much use , any suggestions ????0

Hi going on holiday to Alicante for Xmas why is that I can only print going out flight but not able to print out return flight the hotel I am going to has poor internet and also hate using my phone for documentation as I find paper copy better any advice to be stress free can the airport do this for me thanks 19 th to 27 th is my dates

If Jet 2 are struggling to communicate when travelling passenger numbers are so low, how will they perform if numbers return to normal? Come on Jet 2, now is the time to invest in your services so that you regain your reputation ahead of next year's recovery! If you go on like this you will be wide open to competition from more public service minded competitors entering a growing market

Guest : can you advise how i can make a booking for next year but the infant is due end of december so i have no name or birth date I booked a holiday for before my youngest was born but you have to call Jet 2 to do it and then when baby is born you just call back with name and DOB and they amend details of baby.

Booking ref 28R32D 2 adults 2 Children We need to change our flights as entering Spain you will need 2 jabs for children ..our twins won’t have that . Please advise on situations to change . Guest Caroline F : Due to fly to Tennerife on 1st Jan. My 15yr old now needs two jabs 14 days before departure but isn't eligible for his second for another seven weeks. We've tried booking it on line but it comes up as not eligible and his age group need their call up letter for a walk in vaccination.
